FAQ

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO PHOTOGRAPH A NEWBORN?

The ideal age for a newborn session is when the baby is around 1-2 weeks of age. At this age, babies are still very sleepy and have not lost their womb-like curve.

MY BABY IS OLDER THAN TWO WEEKS, CAN I STILL HAVE A SHOOT?

Babies are beautiful at every age, and they will never be this little again. If you missed that short newborn stage, we can still capture beautiful images for you. It is usually still possible to take some sleepy, newborn-style images of babies up to 3 months.

WHEN IS BEST TO RESERVE A SESSION?

I recommend booking your session at least 2-3 months before your due date, ideally after your 20-week scan. However, if you have not pre-booked your spot, please contact me; I may have last-minute availability.

HOW LONG IS A NEWBORN SESSION?

My newborn sessions typically last between 1 to 3 hours, depending on the package you choose. I ensure there's ample time for you to relax and feed your baby as needed, as I prioritize a calm and stress-free experience. I never rush newborn sessions, as capturing these precious moments requires patience and care.

ARE SIBLING AND FAMILY PHOTOS INCLUDED?

Yes, siblings and extended family members are all invited and included in our photography sessions. We offer a variety of 2 unique packages for you to select from.

CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?

As long as you let me know ahead of time, you are more than welcome to bring your fur baby. However, think about whether your dog will behave and be comfortable.

WHAT IF MY BABY IS FUSSY?

Rest assured, soothing and settling babies is an integral part of my expertise. With patience and care, I will ensure your little one feels comfortable and secure, allowing us to capture beautiful and timeless images. Your baby's well-being is my top priority, and I am committed to creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both of you.

WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

All sessions take place in my conveniently located studio in the city center. The studio offers comfortable and private space with parking available. Please make sure you have some small change for parking. You can find us at 2 William Street, Waterford.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING AND WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

For joint shots, please prepare plain clothes without any bright, large prints such as blouses, tops, t-shirts. Additionally, for baby, please remember to bring a pacifier and I would advise to bring extra feeds if bottle feeding. I will provide everything else you need in the studio.

HOW DO I BOOK?

When do I view my photos?

Your photos will be ready for viewing within 2-3 weeks after the session.

How long should I wait for my album?

You can expect to receive your album within up to 8 weeks after your session. We take great care in editing and preparing your album to ensure it beautifully captures your memories!
